Jacob Linn Brings Coaching Expertise to Logan’s Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning Program

Jacob Linn, MED, CSCS, PN1 has brought his extensive background in collegiate athletics to Logan University’s Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning (MS-SC) program. He recently joined the program’s faculty teaching the applied lab course that is required for students. Devon Ackroyd, DC, MS-SSR, DACBSP, Cert. MDT, assistant professor at Logan University, recently served on the medical staff for the United States Archery Team (USAT) on the way to the World Cup 2024. Dr. Ackroyd traveled to Pudong, China, and spent ten days treating the top-ranked male and female recurve and compound archers in the country. “The experience was great. Captains and founding members of Logan University’s Climbing Club, trimester 6 doctor of chiropractic students Luke Vanover and Nick Reese, recently participated in one of the biggest climbing competitions in the Midwest. At the Climb So iLL Showdown on October 22, 2022, Luke earned 12th place and Nick earned 13th place out of the 32 people who participated in their division. “It was a very unique competition. Devon Ackroyd, DC, MS, DACBSP®, Cert. MDT, assistant professor and faculty clinician for Montgomery Health Center, recently served on the medical staff for the United States women’s national ice hockey team. Dr. Ackroyd traveled to Herning, Denmark, where he spent about three weeks treating some of the most elite female athletes in the sport of hockey during the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women’s Hockey World Championships. “It was truly an incredible experience. The 2022 Department of Defense Warrior Games, hosted by the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, took place August 19-28, 2022, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort. Nearly 300 athletes from across the globe representing the U.S. military and ally nations participated in this event.
